Eulalia M. 'Pat' Koehler Nemec, 1924-2018

Eulalia M. "Pat" Koehler Nemec, 93, of Sterling, CO and formerly of Tucson, AZ, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018, in Greeley, CO. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, March 8, at Tennant Funeral Home. Memorial Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Ken Koehler celebrating. Inurnment will be at St. Peters Cemetery, Fleming, CO.Pat was born on June 4, 1924. in Fleming, CO, to John M. and Josephine M. (Ruhkamp) Koehler. She attended elementary school at Prairie View and Highway Fyfe. She later attended St. Peters and graduated from St. Peters High School in 1941. In 1951, she moved to Denver where she was employed by Mountain States Inspection Bureau as an auditor for three states, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico, for 10 years. On November 28, 1959, she married Frank Nemec at St. Philomena's Catholic Church in Denver. They resided in Wheatridge, CO until 1991 when they retired and moved to Tucson, AZ.Pat loved to travel and was an avid bowler. During her years in Tucson, she and her husband Frank became interested in the American Indian culture, especially the Hopi Tribe and their beautiful artistry. They also loved the beauty of the desert. After the death of her husband in late 2012, she moved to Sterling, CO taking up residency at Devonshire Acre Apts.Pat is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank; parents John and Josephine; three sisters: Ann Wernsman, Lucille McMillan, and Eleanor Koehler; nine brothers: Henry, Edward, George, Leonard, Joseph, Clarence, Raymond, John, and Anthony Koehler.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pat's name to Sisters of Immaculate Heart of Mary (Tucson, AZ) in care of Tennant Funeral Home, PO Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
